Tested Recipes of Farm Women
Published by The Farm Bureau
Women of Kensett Township, Worth County, Iowa, November 1924. This reprint
contains hundreds of farm kitchen recipes, of course, but also of interest
is the advertising by Northwood and Kensett businesses, and handy tips for
the housewife. For example, that tough old rooster can still make a delightful
meal with a good vinegar boil and frying. The Worth County Historical Society
is planning a dinner for summer 2004 based on the recipe book. Soft-cover,
b&w, with calling-card-style advertising. 81 pgs.
Available Spring 2004.
